KTC> You seem to have no feel for nations that are desperately trying to alleviate dire poverty through some industrial development,

Oh, KTC,
I feel for them. But I can't help them when their
leaders would steal what is meant to help them . .
or their leaders double deal . . .

For my money the only technology which can produce
the massive amounts of cheap power to enable such
massive industrial development without carbon emmissions is nuclear.

N. Korea was supposed to make a deal that would help
them to develop their industrial development . . .
instead they built a nuclear bomb . . .

I would not mind Iran having several nuclear power
plants . . but instead of accepting a deal with Russia
to enrich the uranium and ensure no nuclear weapons,
Iran appears to be bent on developing the technology
to make nuclear weapons - and Iran being a big fan
of terrorists I shudder to think what they might try.

I could go on . . .

Zim:

Seems like a rational article. Your prediction is simple-minded. You seem to have no feel for nations that are desperately trying to alleviate dire poverty through some industrial development, and Americans trying to decide between a 48" and a 56" made-in-China flat-screen TV. An estimated 300 million Indians still don't have electricity.
