Is the economy REALLY better or worse?

I believe OCU said something about his sons having
a hard time getting good jobs . . . worse.

Years back, the employment section of my sunday paper
was a whole section of the paper. Today, lucky if
we get three pages of help wanted ads. Worse.

Capt nemo often posts things from a 'Daily Job Cuts'
web site. Worse.

My employer recently laid off about a dozen guys.
(Fortunately, I was not one of them.) Worse.

What is is, some 15 percent of Americans are on
food stamps? What is wrong with this picture?

I could go on . .

Zim.

The report, which was delayed by a week because of the shutdown, was especially tricky to predict simply because economists did not know how much of a swing the shutdown would cause.
