I never thought about this before, but it just dawned on me that one town, Boston, has Championship teams in 3 of our major sports! I've thought of Sox, Celts and Pats individually, but never collectively - til now. Quite a feature.
And - it appears that the Patriots are taking over from Dallas as America's Team. Hmmm. Don't think my Raiders will ever get that title..
Not this year. We're still trying to figure out how this strange collection of marginal, single skill (good field/no hit) over-achievers won the championship. In mid-August, most Boston pundits were still picking Tampa Bay to win our division, anticipating a September swoon.
