OCU> THAT was the 'question' that I was responding to.

Actually, OCU,
I was not asking anything even faintly resembling that
question at all.

I was giving a history lesson on the stupidities of
democrap presidents in general.

Followed by, perhaps, a question that we haven't had
a President ALL of U.S. could agree was GREAT since
Reagan.

As usual, OCU, you skipped the point and went off on
a half baked tangent creating straw people.

Zim.

SORRY BUT YOU'RE WRONG...

This is the exact wording of the 'question' that was asked:

"Wasn't it a Democrat named 'Johnson' who got U.S. into Vietnam?"

If you check the FACTS it was Dwight D. Eisenhower who authorized the first deployment of US troops to Vietnam. Granted, they were supposed to only play the roles of advisors and instructors but I suspect the families of the NINE American military personnel who died there from 1956 to 1960, while Eisenhower was in the White House, would say that that was of little consolation. The died in a foreign war while serving in the US military. And while this was no where near the number who would eventually die there, it does NOT change the fact that it was a Republican president who sent those FIRST troops into harms way.

THAT was the 'question' that I was responding to.
