Problem is I don't even have this OC'd right now, so I'm not sure if that is gonna help just yet. The slider definitely doesn't help, that just shuts off GPU folding all together if less than 'full'

The config -> advanced option supposedly dials both back, but even all the way down to 10% in there, and I'm blasting at 85-88%, so even that control is not what it seems.

I'll keep digging !!

Hi VGolf --

So if we're just effectively needing a dialback on GPU, I'd forget the slider, as you've already found and just keep something like MSI Afterburner minimized so you can get it with one click and crank down the shaders directly using that. I don't actually crank 'em down but I have lots of gpus at lots of differing maximum speeds for them and they all got there that way.
