Russia ‘Bugged’ G-20 Goodie Bags
See Merkel, Russia does it too! According to the New York Post, devious Russian agents placed USB drives and phone chargers in goodie bags at the G-20 that would copy and send sensitive info. La Stampa and Corriere della Sera originally reported the ruse after the EU's Herman Van Rompuy, president of the European Council, was reportedly wary of the devices and had them investigated. Russian authorities have denied the accusations, saying they are trying to distract “from the problems that really exist.”
