With a slow rate of price deflation, we could
increase our standards of living, while holding
wages steady. Stability.

and those who get them 'feel better' . . but those
on fixed incomes are screwed.
Those who do the right thing, and save their money
so they can retire and live comfortably will, because
of inflation, find out their savings have little
