Why the hell can't the buyer/developer of property charge 'rent' to use it?
If one thinks about it, what investor would buy/develop a piece of property without knowing they could make money on it? Would the commercial real estate market exist if one could not charge rent? No, of course not. So what is wrong with the developer of a patent selling his property for a quick gain? Is that not like a lottery winner taking the up front - severally discounted payment? The term Patent Trolls plays well in the press, but it ignores the fact that patents are property and that's that! And in the constitution of los Estados Unidos, you have a right to own it! ...unnnnllleeesssss your local township thinks it could serve the community better with a casino on it - sigh, I'll stop typing before I go off the deep end again...
