I don't 'tweet' and the only time I use the so-called 'hash tag' (which I think is a British term) is when I'm writing a 'number' as in #1 or #2. And the only time I've ever used 'hash' as a spoken word is when I'm referring to the dish made from minced pieces of meat (usually Corned Beef) and potatoes cooked together.
Do any of you use the pound sign(it's the symbol over the 3 on your keyboard) in its current incarnation as "hash tag" - in your writing, twittering or speaking?
