Why do companies treat people like this....

...re-organizing the company and transferring folks around, knowing some won't go, is a way of downsizing companies. When I worked for the phone company they had to pay your moving expenses if they transferred ya more than a set number of miles. (I forget what it was) They transferred me 9 times all just a few miles less than it would take to equal this amount each time. I was driving over a hundred miles a day each way in heavy traffic when I finally told em to stick it.

Liberals are like a "Slinky". Totally useless, but somehow ya can't help but smile when you see one tumble down a flight of stairs!

KTC:

Its a tragedy & a disgrace.

There isn't much I can do, but there are a few ways I try to help keep people employed.
I don't shop at WalMart.
I don't use ATM cards.
I don't use scanners at the Stop & Shop, thus I still need a checker.

Joann was the deli manager, she is a wonderful woman, always happy & helpful. When I saw her Saturday, she served me & I said its always a treat to see her. She filled up with tears & said they had transferred her to the Port Chester store, they were reopening it. Sunday was her last day there.
Oh, a few others in her dept said she was the best manager they ever had. I said we could have protested!
I wished her an easy transition, it will be a 45/50 minute commute, she's lives close to this store.

I happened to see her Sunday morning, she was leaving the store. I was able to hug her & hold her as she cried & wish her well one more time & tell her how lucky they are to be getting her.

Why do companies treat people like this.... she's been there for 9 years.
