Autumn is coming to SoCal as well. It's been cool these past few days and while they're predicting at least a couple more warm days (85+) later this week, it appears that by next weekend it will be back down to where it's been for awhile. The nights are just right for leaving the windows open and we don't even need to use the overhead fans.
I'm going to be taking a free course in basic digital camera technique this morning at the Sony store at the mall. I had to lector at the 5:30pm Mass yesterday so that freed-up my morning making this convenient. From looking at the explanation as to what will be covered during the 90 minute session I suspect that there will be some 'selling' of add-ons and stuff, but since it's free, why not...
My wife and I are signed-up to take a 5 hour basic digital photography class at the local community center later in October. This class is not free but the charge is reasonable and of course there'll be no 'selling' except perhaps to take one of the more advanced or specialized classes that's offered, such portrait or landscape photography.
Anyway, autumn is here which means that I'll be busy for the next few months with my annual 'Fall tour', attending and presenting at what we call 'RUGs', Regional User Group meetings. This is where we hold smaller meetings closer to where our customers are located, making presentations and giving demos of our latest versions of software which will be released soon. I was in Dallas last week, which was the first of 16 RUG's that I will be doing between now and the first week in December. This week we have two meetings but they're local; Tuesday in our office in Cypress, CA (Orange Co.) and Wednesday in San Diego. Next week it's Rochester, NY and Ogden, UT. The following week, Chicago and Minneapolis. Well, you get the idea...
