I'm surprised Ben didn't give some indication of unwinding, even if only a minor adjustment. There must be great trepidation about it. Quite frankly, this stuff is above my pay grade, and maybe massive stimulus (future obligation) in exchange for economic growth (in the present) is worth it. Hope it's just not more kicking the can down the road because there is no acceptable alternative. (This baby won't float on it's own). I guess the inequity of it all bothers me the most. Maybe I'll make $14 from the $85 billion, but certainly not in a savings account.

Hi KTC:

IMO, Bernanke doesn't know how to unwind.

Besides, he knows the numb skull Tea Party/republicans are playing with fire wrt the debt ceiling.

Bet he figures he might as well leave some wiggle room for the next Fed Chair, let the chips fall after he's gone.
