...once again, the tail wags the dog. There are not more homicides in states that have more guns. There are more guns in states with high homicide rates. When you have a high homicide rate people feel a greater need to be armed. Same thing with states that have the death penalty having higher homicide rates. that is also a tail wagging the dog scenario. Truth is that the higher the homicide rate, the more likely folks are to demand a death penalty,
