My granddaughter recently got elected captain of her cheerleading team. Mostly, it was because instead of hazing new freshman cheerleaders, as was the tradition, she hosted a barbecue at her home to welcome them aboard. She also invited the tryouts who didn't make the team, and enticed the best gymnast at her school to join the squad, the only boy to ever do so. My granddaughter is the first junior to be elected captain.
...this is certain to draw the ire of those who were less fortunate in lifes lottery as well as the cheerleaders union which believes that only seniority should be considered when electing captains. She will be harassed unmercifully for her uppitiness.
Liberals are like a "Slinky". Totally useless, but somehow ya can't help but smile when you see one tumble down a flight of stairs!
