I think he's making a point.

It is not Russia's job to do what the US tells it to do just because the US wants it.

I suspect he'll be much more amenable if the US stops pretending that the pursuit of its self-interest is somehow necessarily virtuous. It may be. But self-interest is a different thing.

Yes, whomever uses these weapons should face an international trial for war crimes.

I think if Medvedev were still in power he would have been much better to deal with!
