Joe - Well, nobody was able or aware of the possibilities in my day, so today we have many successful folks in the family at various levels, connections, those that can, are very willing to lend a hand... Some that could have helped themselves, didn't, have paid the price down the line, so at this point we're good to go... Help comes in may forms, mostly it's staying connected and aware...

I've other friends from back in HS days, staying anonymous, they've funded scholarships for years here in the County, altho they live elsewhere now... pay it forward!

Weco,

You seem like such a good hearted soul helping relatives out with their education. My mom and dad helped me out and helped to pay what the scholarship didn't cover. We worked during the summers for the local laborers union. We still have fond memories of our time working in a union when we were young. It was the first decent paycheck that we ever received. We had an acquantance who worked for IBM in sales but that didn't seem to last all that long and he moved on to other endevours. Read your Calvin Coolidge quote. It must have been the longest group of words that silent Cal ever uttered in his life!

Regards,

Joe
