Hi tkc,

One of my concerns, Boehner will drag a few republicans & Pelosi will need to get the majority of her troops to support this lunacy.
To add insult to injury, the dems' will have the responsibility of attacking Syria on them.

And McCain wants us to arm the rebels faster.
There are many different fractions that make up the 'rebels.' Many would use these arms on us!

This is a Syrian civil war. They pose no threat to America. American interests, Israel, but not us.

The use of these WMD's deserve a Worldwide response & condemnation!
But how will attacking Syria help the same people that are already suffering?
Assad has no way out, he is fighting for his life too.
He sees what happens to leaders during this 'Arab Spring.'
If Putin would offer him asylum that might be an option?

Our purpose should be to have Assad turn over his stockpile of weapons of mass destruction, but how would that occur & who would take charge of them?

We need to help the many Syrians that are displaced & overflowing into other countries, overwhelming their stability.

If the Congress votes no & Obama goes ahead, he will face impeachment! Republicans have already made that clear. Many hate him & have been looking for any way to oust him, this would be their golden opportunity...

Let's see if the UN & other countries step up.

I hate to agree Tommy but B.O. does come off as apprearing a little weak. Bombing a tyrant that used chemical WMD on his citizens requires a sreious response. I suspect O thought he'd have international support and not have to go it alone. No UN and no UK left him hanging. He doesn't want involvement in another conflict - very few do. So he defly passed the buck to Congress making them, as individuals, take a position, on the record - which they can't dodge. That was smart but makes him appear weak. Thus he won't hang alone, he'll take many w/ him. If Congress opposes, especially the right, and then he does it on his own he'll demonstrate true grit. I bet that's a likely outcome.
