Hi clo,

The US calculation for the last few years seems to be to see if democracy has any roots in the ME.

I think they are finding that roots don't grow so well in desert pastures. Which is sad for everyone.

If Iran finds its way away from fundamentalism and back to democracy, strange as it may seem, perhaps it represents the best model available.

Hi Cactus Flower,

I don't see any 'win' if we take action to simply 'punish' Assad. It would be like kicking a hornets nest.

What happens after the first hit, we have no idea how Syria will respond, let alone Russia & Iran.

Let the Arabs take some action.

I worry about the 'rebels' who they hell are they & will they use the weapons we give them on us later....
