I guess my point was that every big city has senseless killings.. All are senseless, really...

If you can, take a tour, spend some time in a local high level prison... We did a private tour of San Quentin last year, niece, nephew hadn't ever been inside where their Grandfather worked, wanted to see.. Lt & later the Warden joined us, in the furniture factory where Gramps was killed, then on out in the yard, no bars, no fences, but the Lt & Warden knew and were respected by the inmates.,, Still spooky as you had to sign a sheet, no dealing if you were taken hostage.... We came through the highest security level, they boosted a couple out so we could enter their cell, feel the tightness of the cell, zero privacy, cozy, very cozy for two inmates... A steady stream of inmates being cuffed, transported, returned, Salsido, other very young creeps, in for life or more... Lots of noise, snide remarks as my niece was obviously young, tall, beautiful, in spite of dressing down... Not a nice place... On to the gas chamber, a bit of it's history, it should be used more... Most are lethal injections... What a business to be in, housing and death...

Consider how many are never caught, are still out there, tucked away, waiting for an opportunity... And it's not all in big cities, either...

Pretty depressing.. But more should see the end result... A lot of whackos should be in tiny little cells, forever...

Thankfully, we don't have too many senseless killings in Boston. I attribute it to treating people decently and as adults. Our Hispanic immigrant folks have shown to be admirable workers. We do have a few cities in Ma. that have been wrecked by economic conditions (The Permanent Bush Depression for many) and newcomers unable to find gainful employment or assimilate properly.
