True story:
This happened back in February...
On February 5th, an Israeli woman named Hila Ben Baruch parked her car on a street in Tel Aviv. While it was parked, city workers came and painted a handicapped parking space around her car, then towed it away!
She was hit with a bill for $366 in fines and parking fees.
She managed to get ahold of a security video showing the entire incident, and posted it to facebook: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=10151421320854851
After she posted that video, the city released Ben-Baruch’s car, waiving all fines and fees.
Tel Aviv Mayor Ron Huldai even posted an apology on her Facebook page.
