I sent same question to IR to just confirm if the award covered entire amount that was deferred... and he gave me no warm fuzzies about it.

he said to wait for quarter end to find out. It wasn't a hard question.

what is the point of having IR if there are no relations?

It is clear to me that they won the 52.6 mil that has been paid under protest. The question is whether they can report as recurring revenue in the 3rd Q. There is no interest on the award because the licensee has been tendering the payments. This resembles an audit result more than a Pegatron situation. What is not clear is whether they have reported revenue from this licensee all along and deferred specific amounts labeled under protest or deferred the total amounts reported each quarter? If they have been reporting revenue all along, this is fairly substantial licensee. My guess is that it is Intel/IFX. Intel is launching a new chip to compete with qcom and if the old commeon/idcc stack is still present, this could be real big for the bottom line revenue going forward. At least we have a fresher set of tea leaves. Now if the doctor will release me next Wednesday, I might be able to get out and be somebody again.
