I am as peaceful as the next guy. But I know when someone is having a pop. And you were. Perhaps because you felt angry on awk's behalf. But he earns his rebukes and continues to think he is in a position to dictate the permissible conversation.
I have no worries that other people find me annoying or humourless or arrogant. Your list. These are traits I have to admit seeing in your best board buddy so I know you are not especially particular about them. Your list is these things plus the fact that my views aren't attuned to your image of the world.
Others doubtless have a worse list for me. This board is stalked by a few of them. I never court popularity and don't think highly of folks just because they succeed in doing so. Regardless, I tell the truth as I see it. My stance isn't designed to make folks happy. It is designed to be sincere regardless of the circumstances. I gather friends amongst those who appreciate this quality and lose them amongst those who don't.
Strange as it may seem, I've warred with people and ended up friends with them. Even while having divergent views. And continuing to argue with them.
