...the gubmint should not be making or guaranteeing student loans any more than they should be lending money to folks to go to tanning booths for a tan. A college education is supposed to say something about a person's ability to get an education on their own without a gubmint handout. Them dam loans have made college educations easier and more expensive. They have provided academia with "windfall profits" that would be under investigation if it was a business.
