It doesn't necessarily end well for the West, either.

Clearly, many Egyptians see us as bad actors and they want to throw off the perceived shackles of Western influence.

This is the kind of environment that extremists move in. Large disgruntled population. Heavy-handed military.

Some of these folks think violence is the only way. We have to find the way to provide a peaceful alternative.

The sooner we can all move to alternative energy the better as our dependence on oil is making things bad for everyone.

[Not that Egypt is an oil power, but it is a power in the oil region]

The VP resigned, they have called a 'state of emergency,' for a month. Two journalists have been killed, 150 people or more also killed.

Incredible: NBC's Richard Engel Takes Cover as Egyptian Army Fires on Protesters

NBC News reporter Richard Engel was caught in the middle of what he described as a firefight in which the army was using “live ammunition” to subdue pro-Morsi demonstrators. The video of Engel taking cover behind a barricade, broadcast on MSNBC’s Jansing & Co., is chilling.
