Unfortunately the rate was simply too low to even attempt photographing any of them.

...the meteor shortage is caused by global warming and tax cuts for the wealthiest. Women and minorities to suffer the most.

I sat out on my patio for about 90 minutes last night, until half-past-midnight, and saw a total of 6 meteors. Our sky is just too bright here in SoCal at least in the populated areas. I could have driven out toward the foothills, but I would have had to go at least 20 miles to find someplace darker than my backyard. Note that a couple of the meteors were pretty spectacular with one leaving a very bright trail that completely crossed the visible sky. Unfortunately the rate was simply too low to even attempt photographing any of them.
