Clo,

I did not make your point! If Snowden and Manning had been given an education they might have learned to differentiate between seeing a part of a program and making snap valueless judgments on it and looking more deeply into what was going on and the potential risks that they took on themselves for their nation without much other council other than institutions such as the Guardian who mock freedom of the press to simply garner some headlines for a "crusading" reporter with a narrow and questionable agenda.

If there had been a traditional education required of these people to get their jobs, neither of them would have qualified for them because neither of them could have secured a university education due to their lack of intelligence and perseverance. Simply being a computer whiz does not qualify you for what these two were involved in. And the Lord knows how many computer whizzes with no ethics at all are doing things like identity theft each and every day.

Regards,

Joe

Joe,

You make my point.

" There is a huge difference between being trained and educated. Soldiers are trained to follow orders and not to question them."

Both of these men 'questioned' & did NOT follow orders.
They also, opened Pandora's Box & ask others to 'question' & not simply put their 'trust' in those in power.
