That may be true, but to attribute it to any one person's specific behavior, or in your words, "programs", is giving way too much credit to the power of any one person, including the President. The global economy is just too large and complex to think that any one individual can be given the blame when it goes south, or given the credit when it goes north. We are merely flotsam in a sea of breaking 'waves' (perhaps it's time for Alvin Toffler to write 'The Fourth Wave')
Any merit to the speculation that Obama's social programs; food stamps, extended unemployment benefits, Obamacare, immigration reform, make work programs, etc., are mainly pacifying the base while trillions are expended in deficit spending and Federal Reserve bond purchases (magic money) that magnificently benefit the financial elite while posing a serious threat to our national solvency if and when stimulus funds are withdrawn?
