...that train is already off the tracks. Not much the republicans or anyone else could do to make it a bigger mess than it is.

...but I suspect that won't stop them from trying it just to win points with their base who have no idea whatsoever how things really work in the world. This would then fall into the same category was the serial 'defunding' of ACORN that has been appended to every spending bill to leave the House since the Republicans gain control in 2010, despite that fact that ACORN stopped getting federal funds in 2009 and ceased to exist shortly thereafter.
