Perhaps it's time to revisit a true single-payer system...
Think of all the stories about companies reducing the hours of their workers so that they no longer were considered full time employees. Think of the pension plans with their overextended health obligations, one example being the USPS with their 75 years of prepaid medical. Think of all those Red states trying to avoid taking responsibility for their poor and underinsured. Or a situation LIKE Detroit and dozens of other cities where their health care obligations are bankrupting them.
