I visit Detroit at least 2 or 3 times a year as many of our larger customers have operations there, such as GM and Chrysler, and many of the their 1st and 2nd tier suppliers. And I've lived just outside of Detroit, first when I was kid and later during my professional career for a couple of years back in the mid-80's. I still have cousins and a brother living in the area.
Have you been to Detroit? I haven't. You do have Michigan roots. I haven't even had conversation with any Detroiters. Maybe sports could spark a conversation.
