You're all around it, BAP, and let me give you the good news. It's not 8900 that's key, it's the new Core_17 that uses the latest CUDA code that NVidia Kepler video cards use to full advantage that's key. And QRB in there to boot.

And you're thinking, that's just wonderful, ArVee, more mumbojumbo and btw where's the good news? Confused
The good news is that it's Core_17 that's doing the magic and Core_17 processes more than 8900, there are about 10 other projects that are released already, you just haven't seen any. So you're not going to run out, Core_17 is the future and the future is now. When 8900's run out, there will be lots of others. It's the stuff the rest of us are folding that will run out as the science progresses, they just won't run out for a few years and the points will be small compared to what you and Sun are doing.

So you guys are in good shape, it's the rest of us that should know this stuff for when we decide to upgrade.

Hi micro.

The amazing results NewSR and myself are getting appear to be due to a steady stream of these project 8900's. Right NewSun? Each is worth about 2xk ppd if the card is kepler. Don't know if non-kepler will work. I've made no changes other than that "advanced" setting we talked about. It changed the ppd for me from about 60k to what you see now. Let's hope those 8900's don't run out too soon.

That means any new kepler cards anyone gets would be good. Not sure one needs a quad cuz a duo should do.
