Has your SMP taken a hit since the switch? If not, that would seem to indicate that they weren't hyperthreading. You could always just try it at the end of the next SMP, I know the preservation of the gpu setup far outranks what smp will do, but that change wouldn't hurt the gpu.

ArVee,

I'm thinking I shouldn't do the second step that messes with the processor - but I'll look to you to confirm. Hollywood and Dreamer both have this processor:

I see quad core, but I don't see hyperthreading or anything like that. So I'm thinking I should leave that -1 in there that lets the client determine the best setting?
