Indeed. Juries make mistakes. But oftentimes, the "mistake" occurs when the evidence wasn't sufficiently strong to reach the guilty threshold.

That door opens for the defence rather than the prosecution.

At any rate, I wouldn't be glad to find myself hoping that the jury made a misjudgement. There's an element of the tricoteuse in that position.

I understand that you want something for M. But if the police had intervened in the fight instead of Z's bullet, I have no doubt he'd be headed to jail for his assault. Z would be the prosecution witness. And M just another young guy who couldn't control his fists and his rage.

Z is only on trial because he defended himself. In the way Florida law allows.

The right fit is not guilty. Beyond a reasonable doubt.

Nearly everyone thought the jury would find Casey Anthony guilty. They were wrong.

Nearly everyone thinks Zimmerman will be found not guilty.
Let's see what this jury finds...

Listening to testimony, I find it hard to believe that after being shot directly in the heart, Trayvon would say, 'you got me.'
And that he sat up?

After all Z said T was on top beating the crap out of him. That's when Z went for his gun & shot T.
Wouldn't T have fallen back?
Z claimed he didn't know T was dead, felt threatened & pinned T down with his arms extended, after holstering his gun.

This all sounds far fetched to me.
I would imagine IF T could talk he would say expletives...

Z is charged with second degree manslaughter. I think the burden of proof will help the defense.
Involuntary manslaughter would be a better fit.
