It turns out that the two New Yorkers accused of conspiracy to commit a terrorist act are self-proclaimed members of the KKK. Sort of strange to a couple of bed-sheet wearing racists are making a claim that they were going to target Muslims in defense of Israel. They even visited synagogues looking for people who would help fund their operation. This certainly doesn't sound like the KKK I read about in the history books.
It's also interesting to note that when these guys contacted the actual KKK, that they subsequently notified the FBI of this. Apparently the KKK draws the line at helping nut cases who want to build 'ray guns'.
