Awards night, we had one young lady where my GD graduated, receive a West Point Appointment, a very solid Army retiree presented it, certificated direct from the POTUS, along with a tad of West Point History, etc.. He placed it's value at $450k, likely more as it presents her with so many future opportunities down the line... Very moving...
In other Awards, while there were many anglos, there were many of Asian, Hispanics moving up the line... Many were alumni memorial scholarships in a variety of future skills, what better way to memorialize a loved one?
