Hi clo,

But you choose to ignore the salient fact.

Martin was beating Zimmerman up. We know Martin had no fight injury other than one consistent with punching someone. We know Zimmerman had a beaten face and abrasions on his head.

Zimmerman does not appear to have been a bully. He doesn't seem to have hit Martin at all, and yet he was clearly struck.

A big, tough 17 year-old was beating up a short, fat, scared Latino adult. The Latino, who was underneath the teen, called for help repeatedly. None arrived. The Latino had a gun and seems to have used it finally to defend himself.

I don't think he should be on trial.

"Zimmerman was told NOT to pursue, he continued, armed & dangerous." This is a remarkably tendentious description. I see no evidence that Zimmerman was pursuing Martin. Both accounts seem to suggest the encounter was accidental. Zimmerman was permitted to carry a gun and used it during a fight he was losing badly and during which he sustained genuine injuries. It looks like a clear case of self-defence. The press narrative looks trumped up and partisan to me.

Hi Cactus Flower,

Martin was 17, often testosterone abounds without maturity. Unfortunately, not unusual for teens to push the envelope & try drugs & alcohol & fight.

I have a problem with 'guns,' yet many act as if its their 'god given right' including teenagers.

For me, the bottom line, Martin belonged in the area, visiting family, he was UNarmed, not doing anything criminal at the time.
Zimmerman was told NOT to pursue, he continued, armed & dangerous.
Martin is dead, dead men can't defend themselves, neither can those unarmed when stalked by an armed man.

I think finding an unbiased jury will be very difficult.
Zimmermen deserves a fair trial, and he definitely deserves being on trial!
