Be sure to take a wet suit and scuba gear with you on your way back out! This way you'll be prepared for anything!

Micro,

Yes - we're right in the middle of all the flooding. A friend called while we were on our way home to let us know that the creek less than a quarter mile from our house was out of it's banks and across the road that runs in front of our house. He thought our house was OK though - but it made us wonder what we'd find when we got home.

Plus that same road was under water in several places between where we were at that time an home. All routes into our closest large town were closed for a while because of water over all the roads in and out of town.

Several of the towns around us are having issues with sewers backing up into houses. A number of people are without water as the rural water company has numerous broken water lines to deal with.

Most of the water has gone down now, but there's still a lot of clean-up to do. We actually faired fairly well - water got into a couple of out-buildings, and probably got to within 10' of the shop, but we have water and septic tank is working, minor water in the basement, but very minor - like maybe a 3' puddle 1/8" deep in one corner - so compared with a lot of people around us, we have no complaints!

Sun :-)
