This morning's passage comes from John 10: 11-15
Jesus speaking ,
"I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.
But he that is an hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep.
The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheep.
I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.
As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep."
Praise God HE indeed is known of our heavenly Father and knows HIM. They are GOD along with The Holy Ghost, which make up the blessed and holy Trinity.
Jesus came to seek and to save the LOST, those whose trust is not in HIM.
Trust in what?
Trust and faith that Jesus is The only WAY, The Truth and the LIFE (eternal), and that NOBODY may go to the FATHER (in heaven) BUT THROUGH AND IN HIM!
WHY did Jesus leave his throne in heaven and come here?
Because according to 2 Peter 3: 9 God is not willing that ANYONE should perish (into hellfire which was made for the devil and his angels)for all eternity)
BUT that everyone should come to repentance!
Repentance means to change your mind about what you believe about Christ!
Paul wrote in Romans that we ALL are born at ENMITY with God. Enmity means that we are against HIM. We are all born in sin because we inherited it from ADAM, and consequently, God, who is holy, cannot have sin enter into heaven.
This is why JESUS came. He came to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all our unrighteousness.
The moment anyone believes in their heart and asks Christ to save them and from their sins and forgive them HE immediately cleanses them and places HIS OWN RIGHTEOUSNESS upon them, and writes their name into the Lamb's Book of Life! The HOLY GHOST then seals you and preserves you as one of GOD's own children.
Blessed be the Lord God Almighty, who loved us, and gave HIMSELF for us, that we might be with HIM in heaven for all eternity, praising HIS NAME, for only HE IS WORTHY.
My prayer and desire for you today is to ask Jesus Christ to forgive you and to save you. Trust in Him alone and nothing else for your salvation. He loves you and waits at your heart's door, knocking, waiting for you to open that door so HE may come in and save you for all eternity.
WHERE will your soul go the moment you die???
WIll you immediately be in the glorious light and presence of Jesus or will you be in total darkness, burning forever?
The choice is yours. He does not force HIS WILL upon you. He patiently waits. He has provided the sacrificial lamb for your sins.
Why don;t you trust HIM with YOUR eternal soul today?
