Thanks Mark!

I guess I have gotten to used to switches that have DHCP automatically ON by default. lol!!!

I made one other error.

The CMD for IPCONFIG renewal.

The SPACE is AFTER IPCONFIG, not after the forward slash.

So It should be: ipconfig_/renew

I hope BAP posts the switch because I would love for him to be able to use that.

Won't the switch work with his modem?

micro...

What is the make and model number of it, it would be an easy search to see if it is capable of DHCP, or just a pass-through.

I it is capable of dhcp, that functionality is most likely disabled, as his router was handling the i.p. addressing. That's an easy fix to turn it back on. If it does not have dhcp capability, it won't work without some type of router handling that.
