Thanks guys. I guess I can't use the switch. My wireless router (Netgear) is under warranty. They are shipping me a replacement. Will take 5-7 days. Meanwhile I can hook up only one computer at a time.

The router stands upright but the cat knocked it over one too many times. I think I'll lay the replacement on its side.

That is correct Duit.

The switch allows ,multiple machines to hook up to it but they share an IP address.

BAP, how many machines do you need to hook up and will you do so with a cable or wirelessly?

I use a TP Link wireless router. It allows me to plug my office computer into it with a cable while sending a signal out so I can connect to it on the far side of the house with a network adapter wirelessly.

Both machines fold.

Here is a wired router for you!

Free shipping. Will hook up 7 computers

Now, here is a wireless router, which you can still hook up by cable to the rear ports.

and a Netgear wireless router:

Any of these will fix you right up BAP!

the best,

micro...
