President Barack Obama said he had spoken with Oklahoma Gov. Mary Fallin and pledged the full help of the federal government. Relief efforts sprang up. The Red Cross said it was opening a shelter, and the University of Oklahoma opened some of its housing for displaced families.
...but I think it's important for all of us to pay very close attention to exactly which federal programs will the Congressional Republicans be demanding the administration cut back-on so as to generate the necessary 'offsets' needed to cover the expenses that will be accrued by FEMA and the other federal agencies who will soon be responding once Obama announces that he's about to declares Moore, OK, a federal disaster area.
