CIA Agent Caught in $1 Million Recruitment Sting, Russia Says
By Ilya Arkhipov - May 14, 2013 8:18 AM ET Russia’s security service said it caught a CIA agent attempting to recruit an intelligence officer with promises of as much as $1 million a year.
The agent, Ryan C. Fogle, who worked as a diplomat at the U.S. embassy in Moscow, was detained last night and has been handed over to representatives at the embassy, said an on-duty officer for the Federal Security Service, or FSB, who asked not to be identified.
