Fortunately, there is an effort afloat to Flush Rush, and they seem to be having an effect. IIRC, they've gotten ~2600 different advertisers to stop advertising with his show. In many local markets, there has been 'dead air' with unfilled advertising slots.
Frequently, advertisers didn't even know they were supporting Rush. And since then, there have been many "accidents" where their ads were aired during his show in spite of oral or written agreements not to.
It appears to be affecting the bottom line -- Cumulus and ClearChannel are both reporting significant losses in radio operations lately.
The 1st amendment gives him the right to speak, but there's nothing that says anyone has to give him a microphone.
