Granted, I'm not familiar with how a military tribunal works (I assume this was not a civilian trial) but couldn't he have plead not guilty by reason of insanity?

Riana,

He plead guilty to save himself from the death penalty.

Now, he served three terms in the war zone, I can't imagine what that does to a person...

It tells me, a person, no matter how well they are 'trained' for combat, have a limit.
But, how do we know what that limit is...

and how many of those are coming home.............
