The way we see this question is that we are consuming assets from nature that work to support other ecosystems, thus driving them out of existence. This is true of natural resources and living resources such as what the oceans of this world bear. It is interesting how the neoconservative right is denying things like global warming which is affecting and changing our world. But it is also interesting to note that we may not have identified ten percent of all the life forms that exist on this earth so if you can't identify them then you don't know what effect you're having on them!

In fact, are we capable of identifying our excess consumption of compilimentary ecosystems to support our dominance?
