I'm delighted that you and Dig chose to engage the concept of evolution. My fundamental questions, however remain unanswered "or avoided."

In fact, are we capable of identifying our excess consumption of compilimentary ecosystems to support our dominance?

yes. very nice.

darwin called this contingency, i believe. or am i getting confused that he called it chance and other folks call it contingency.

anyway, the adaptations that thrive often move a species into a richer environment. or provide advantages in a competitive one.

so evolution isn't advancement. it's adaptation to a serviceable niche.

even so, the adaptation of species starts with a and moves to b.

spontaneous generation, like a medieval maggot, or pallas athene from the head of zeus, is an uncommon phenomenon!!
