I am jealous of your world of simple black and white, being myself lost in a world of colorful nuance.
I remember basic combat training at Fort Gordon in Georgia where they taught me to rip a man's head off and then shit down the hole.
How little nuance there is to being a soldier.
As an American I exploit every nuance that life affords me and I love my neighbors child as my own.
I cherish my own freedom and my own beliefs and I most assuredly respect your ability to have your own.
I don't have to hate my neighbor or disdain his ideas.
I don't have to disparage those who disagree with me.
I don't have to be reminded that I am a man and not a god, and that my free thoughts are silliness to other people.
I am an American and I stand proudly with the other 400 million of me that shines on this planet like nothing else and gives voice to all of humanities problems and promises.
