This is America's first "city upon the hill".
This is the City of Faneuil Hall, Quincy Market, Sam Adams and Benjamin Franklin.
This is Boston.

This is the City of the Sons of Liberty and the Committees of Correspondence.

This is the City of the Tea Party and Bunker Hill.
And of course this is the City of the Old North Church and Paul Revere.

The revolution that started here made Boston the Cradle of Liberty forever.

Thomas Paine said it in Common Sense.
"The cause of America is in a great measure the cause of all mankind."

Any tour of Boston must really begin outside of town in the "suburbs" in a quiet and peaceful place
we call "Lexington-Concord".
Emerson 100 years later in the "Concord Hymn" reminds us what happened here in this
incredibly beautiful part of Massachusetts.

By the rude bridge that arched the flood,
Their flag to April's breeze unfurled;
Here once the embattled farmers stood;
And fired the shot heard 'round the world.

Please come to Boston for the Springtime.
