Hi Micro!

Yes, some major changes and more than a bit of upheaval by the sound of it. What jumps out at me is the lack of something like, £Certainly, gentlemen, I can help you with all that, happy to do that as long as my new work pc runs a little harmless program called F@H while I'm busy doing what you need me for, k? Deal?£ :-) :-) :-) Other than that, doesn't sound all that too too bad, Micro. Easy for me to say. Change is always tough, especially when it's been your own ship. Hang in, give it a chance to adjust and lordy, man, don't be worried about your old work pc not performing without the slightest break in production. Get to that when you get to it. Besides, last I heard the REAL Boss in all this wasn't even going to let you run it at home! The shed was mentioned, remember? So anything at all is a bonus.

Good Luck with the changes, hang in, might not be as bad as it looks.

Gang,

Due to major changes at my workplace, ( I sold my shares of the company out to my co-partner awhile back and remained as President) and then in turn sold us to a major corporation who also was both a customer and a competitor, I no longer can run my folding machines from work.

This past week I have been involved in MOVING my division from current location into another facility which was being moved into mine. Quite an undertaking.

Hopefully my group will be back up and running by end of next week. A good possibility.

However, My assignment with the new folks is changing. They want me to become the corporate manufacturing guru/analyst of all processes we use to manufacture parts and products.

In other words, are we doing things the most effective and cost efficient ways, utilizing the right machinery and equipment OR is there a better way to go and reduce manufacturing costs.

I guess my 40 years of manufacturing experience got me into this scenario. I will no longer be with my group exclusively, though I will still run the division.

I am getting a new place to hang my hat, in a group office where the other two guys are the ones who write the programming for all the lasers and cnc equipment.

Consequently, I likely will NOT be their best friend as it is their work I am evaluating.

My work computer is not folding and I hate it.

Since it belongs to me personally, I am bringing it home so I can utilize it again. These folks are NOT going to have the right to peruse my computer and anything else. They can buy me a new one.

I will save the data for the company onto a thumb drive and wipe the hard drive.

So, I still have a career but am not particularly happy.

Hopefully something else will present itself in my field soon and I will be off and running again.

That is what is going on on this end. Hope yours is better.

the best,

micro....
