We liked the part about Mad Max!

For us an additional bonus rule might go like this: Ignore the fact that if you have a lot of gold and it does retain some value in the post disaster world, gangs of strong, heavily armed people will come kill you and pry it from the fingers of your cold, dead, corpse. (Notice how this last part dovetails cleverly into that shopworn statement about prying your gun out of your cold, dead, fingers)!
